SPECIALIST SERVICES

Muscle strains, sore backs, mares in foal, injuries including broken bones and lacerations, can be addressed by our professional team. Full care agistment is available for horses requiring daily treatments.
Spelling agistment is often used for horses requiring rehabilitation and rest giving them the freedom to just be a horse. Riding Agistment horses also have the opportunity to benefit from these services.
We live on site and monitor Agistment horses and the recovery of horses in need on a daily basis. .

 

 

 


VETERINARY CARE

Illawarra Equine Centre and Bomaderry Veterinary Hospital are available to visit Kangaroo Valley Horses on request, with 24 hour emergency services.

 

FARRIER

Rob Reynolds attends to hoof care at Kangaroo Valley Horses. Rob is an expert bare foot trimmer paying particular attention to the correct balance of the hoof. For horses requiring shoes, Rob takes special care and time using his forge and the “Hot Shoe” method to fit the shoe to the hoof (not the hoof to the shoe). We are proud to recommend Rob to our customers

 

HORSE DENTIST

Gavin Morton is available by appointment for the dental needs of your horse. Gavin has extensive experience, including working with thoroughbreds in the racing industry and knows how to work with and handle horses of all temperaments. Gavin’s understanding and experience with horses enables him to avoid sedating horses in his care unless completely necessary. From our own experience we can see that our horses are comfortable with Gavin and allow him to work on their teeth without protest

 

SCENAR THERAPY

Sally Fenner is available by appointment- advancing the recovery of foals, ponies & horses suffering from injury. Scenar stimulates the natural healing processes of the body. It is an holistic form of therapy, which stimulates the nervous system & teaches it to heal itself. As well as being used on most types of disorders or injuries of the muscular-skeletal, circulatory, respiratory, digestive, urinary and genital, neurological, skin and dental systems, it has also been found to be beneficial with endocrine, nutritional and metabolic disorders and stress and depression. The Scenar is further credited with vastly reducing recovery times. In accident and emergency wards its ability to aid recovery is used to help those with burns, fractures, insect bites, allergic reactions, cardiac arrest, trauma, coma and many types of sports injuries. At Kangaroo Valley Horses we have witnessed, first hand, the advancement of recovery times for both equine and human injuries. We highly recommend this treatment

Customers with horses on agistment may of course use their own Specialist Services. Or, if using the Kangaroo Valley Horses Specialist Services, quotations are available and the agreed fees may be added to your account.

The Forms and Contracts must be completed when you arrive at "Riverstone" before any activities take place including, Horse Handling, Horse Riding and Horse Agistment.
